Designed to be a regular (say weekly) class provided as a staff benefit for any cross-section of your people. The class is
based on yoga postures and will waken and energise employees so they can go back fresh to their work station. Typically the class will be held before normal office hours and last
for an hour.

Your Benefits |
If you have a pre-work class, employees will save travel time by travelling ahead of the rush hour. After
leaving the class, your people will feel fresh and energised - ready to tackle the day ahead - rather than uptight and needing to recover after a tiring commute.
By clearing the mind, a fresh clearer perspective of the day's tasks will be apparent. And by working the body and improving structural alignment people will stay healthier and feel better during the period they are at their work station. Employees will tend to have less days off sick if they have better posture and a more positive outlook as a result of their work in class.
Who is this for? |
All employees will benefit. If the culture in your workplace is appropriate, you may find additional benefits
if managers, executives join in the class at least occasionally. Morale tends to increase and there is opportunity for informal feedback that might not otherwise happen.
What happens? |
Generally, the class will relax and connect with their breathing for the first few minutes and then gently move
their bodies with their breath to loosen and warm up with awareness. There will be a cyclic programme of structural fitness exercises to systematically loosen and release the joints
of the body.
A range of postures, breathing exercises and yoga sequences will be performed - all designed to increase bodily health and a feeling of well-being. The session will end with a quiet period aimed at calming the mind ready to start work. People will typically feel calm, clear and energised.

Accommodation |
A room at your workplace is required that will be free from disturbances.
Suitable rooms for male and female changing will typically be required, but shower facilities will not be needed. The room should be warm. The room should be clean, free from smells and airy. Lighting should be controllable and not too harsh for people looking up from the floor. Ideally for each person, a space of 5 square metres is required and a clear height of at least 2.5 m. Storage for the yoga equipment is required (e.g. 600 mm wide mats and 300 mm long blocks). A wooden floor is best, warm tiled floors can be OK and so can carpet if it is firm. If suitable accommodation is not available, Yoga In Business may be able to hire suitable facilities nearby at extra cost.

How Long Does it Last? |
To fit in with busy schedules, it is suggested that sessions last an hour, typically once per week.
What About Food? |
For pre-work classes, it is best for people to leave home having had just a drink.
There should then be facilities for staff to have breakfast after completing their class. In all situations attendees must have access to good quality water - Spring Water from bottles or a filtered drinking water dispenser.
What Clothing is Needed? |
For these classes employees need to wear clothing that stretches and doesn't restrict movement.
A track suit is OK. Women often wear leotards or T-shirt and leggings. Work is done barefooted so the feet and ankles can benefit.

How Much does it Cost? |
For a one hour session the charge is £120 or £150 for a one and a half hour session. Travel expenses are only
charged if we cannot find an instructor within 15 miles of you.
If you book for 10 or more sessions you get a 10% discount provided you agree to pay for all sessions in one invoice submitted after the first session. Maximum number of attendees is 25 for health and safety reasons - if you require more, please ask. This means you can provide a wonderfully health enhancing experience for your employees from as little as £4.32 per session for each attendee.
With your first trial class, you get FREE loan of the equipment for the session. You can then order the equipment for the next session.
We expect you to be absolutely
delighted with your Energising Yoga Class so we can offer you a 100% money back GUARANTEE if the majority of the attendees say they do not feel better after the session (except for
reasons not within our control such as the suitability of the room). You've got nothing to lose except your employee's fatigue!
